Today, agents spend the majority of their time retaining existing clients, which means less time is spent on generating new business. Agents surveyed indicated that they want to spend more of their time quoting and pursuing new business by 2020. Wanting to grow business is not unusual, but how do insurance agents plan to achieve growth goals without providing quality customer service?

 

According to the survey, agents plan to decrease the amount of time they spend responding to customer service needs. However, today’s consumers want more ways to engage and do business whenever they want from wherever with any device. The survey also revealed that 60 percent of insurance agents recognize consumer’s need for online and mobile solutions. Millennials want to be able to speak to an actual person when it’s convenient for them. The majority of agents surveyed believe that millennials will have a major impact on their agency by 2020.
